15 January 2011 Update

Hi everyone,

Thank you to all who pray so faithfully for us. One of the most meaningful parts of being in the USA is to meet so many of you who we did not know were praying for us. Paul wrote to Philemon these words: I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ. Thank you so much for your partnership with us in South America.

We've had a busy few weeks. We spent New Year's Eve in Petal with Jeff's mom and brother and family. On January 2 we had the honor of speaking at First Baptist Yazoo City, MS. It was a wonderful morning of seeing friends and enjoying lots of good memories. Jeff grew up in Yazoo City so this was a great privilege for all of us.
We then went to Meridian, MS for a gathering of Liesa's extended family.

We then headed home to Oxford, MS for a few days. We were able to speak at First Baptist Church of Oxford on January 9. FBC Oxford is so supportive and loving to our family. We are so grateful to be a part of such a strong group of believers.

The Blizzard of 2011 and brought 7 to 10 inches of snow to North Mississippi. The aches and pains of playing hard in the snow still remind us of how much fun we had. We were able to spend the week in Oxford with old friends and new friends. We spent so much time listening to what God is doing in calling people to be involved in reaching the world. Very encouraging to us!

We're back here in central Mississippi with Liesa's parents before we begin our journey back to Peru in a few days. Haylee is a part of a Dnow Weekend at Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton, MS. The youth minister there is Louis Zinc. He and Jeff worked together at FBC Oxford back in the day. We'll be speaking at a church in Meridian, MS this weekend and to Liesa's home church mid-week. So, we're staying busy and having a great time.

Our next update will probably be from Lima! Blessings to all of you.

Jeff, Liesa, Haylee, and Jackson
